Give the SBR Suspension What It Should Have Had From the Factory
The Losi SBR is built around long-travel, Baja-style suspension—but from the factory, the shocks are missing an important part of a true dual-spring setup: the tender spring.
With only the factory main spring doing the work, the suspension has to rely on that same spring throughout its entire range of motion. That means the initial movement can feel unnecessarily stiff, especially over small bumps, chatter, rocks, and rough terrain.
Our SBR Dual-Rate Tender Spring Kit adds a softer initial stage to the suspension.
The tender spring allows the shock to react more easily during the beginning of its travel, helping the suspension stay active and follow the terrain instead of immediately fighting against the main spring. As the suspension compresses further, the factory main spring continues to provide the support needed for larger impacts and harder driving.
It's a small change that makes the SBR's suspension work more like the Baja-inspired suspension it was designed to replicate.

Built to Live on the Shock
The included spring adapters are made from a stiff, compliant rubber material rather than brittle rigid plastic. They hold the springs securely while still having enough give to flex under impacts and abuse without cracking or breaking.
We also designed the adapters with smooth, beveled edges where they contact the shock body. This allows them to move smoothly across the threaded shock body without the sharp edges catching or snagging on the threads as the suspension cycles.
There was no readily available kit to add this style of tender-spring setup to the SBR, so we made one.
